Garden Cottage - double occupancy
The Garden Cottage is a stylish contemporary cottage situated within the grounds of the castle with historic features still in place.
**This cottage is a 10 min walk throught the castle grounds to get to the main castle. You can also choose to rent a bike during the retreat for $50 for the week to help get to and from.
Highlights of the cottage include a large stone fireplace with log burning stove, floor-to-ceiling windows, large HD digital TV, luxurious bathroom, large bedroom, well-equipped kitchen.
The historic cottage has recently been renovated in a contemporary style and offers the privacy and quiet of the countryside, along with being next to the main castle during our retreat.
The comfortable sitting room has a huge stone fireplace with wood-burning stove as its focal point. Entertainment is provided through a large flat-screen television with satellite channels and there is also free Wi-fi.
The dining-kitchen is a bright room with French doors offering views across a spacious private lawn and fully-equipped with a wide variety of culinary essentials. The wooden flooring throughout the ground floor of the cottage provides a warm, atmospheric feel, and all floorboards were cut from a single ancient ash tree that grew beside the castle and fell during a storm.
The bedroom has a king-size bed and a full height window framing views of Wedderburn Castle and across the countryside. The chic limestone bathroom has a 1.9m bath with shower.
The Garden Cottage also has a spacious private walled garden that allows guests the option of sunbathing and relaxing in the fresh air.

The Keeper’s Cottage is located in the Georgian stable block at the castle and combines traditional details with contemporary style.
Features include a spacious farmhouse-style dining-kitchen with a large table, stone walls, fireplace with decorative range and a fully-equipped modern kitchen.
The sitting room has a stone fireplace with wood-burning stove, large flat-screen television and comfortable sofas for kicking back in front of the fire. There are wooden floorboards and antique floor tiles throughout the ground floor of the cottage, with the floorboards cut from a single ancient ash tree that grew beside the castle and fell in a storm.
The upper floor has two bedrooms: one with a king-sized bed and a second that can be used as a king bed or 2 twin beds. The king bedroom has an oak bed and en-suite bathroom with luxurious 1.8m bath and rain shower, limestone tiling and wooden floors (SOLD). The second bedroom has a private bathroom (in the hallway) with antique roll-top bath for long soaks after country walks in the surrounding area.
King bedrooom with rain shower is sold out. Your booking will occupy the second king bedroom with private bathroom (in the hallway). This room can be set up as one king bed or two single beds.
